Mary Frances (Williams) Wintrone
June 23, 1937 — September 8, 2015
Mary F. Wintrone, age 78, arrived at her eternal home in heaven on September 8, 2015. She was born June 23, 1937 in Greenville, MS the daughter of Maither and Lester Williams.
After graduating from Greenville High School, Mary began work for doctors Acree and Williams as an insurance clerk. Her years of employment included handling insurance and medical billing for several Greenville doctors. She met Raymond "Swede" Wintrone while he was serving in the Air Force stationed in Greenville, MS. The couple married March 5, 1958 and made their home in Greenville, MS. They raised two daughters and one son and the family was faithful at Northside Baptist Church and later, Parkview Baptist Church, both in Greenville. The couple retired and made their home in Chetek, WI in 1999.
Mary enjoyed many hobbies but at the top of her list was baking and staying healthy and fit. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Mary and Swede were married for 57 years.
Mary is survived by her loving, devoted and loyal husband Ray Wintrone, whom she lovingly called Swede. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Johnny Howard; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Drex Evans; and son, Raymon Mark. Grandchildren Andy, Addie, Davin and Annsli affectionately called her "Gran". Mary is also survived by 3 siblings. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Maither and Lester and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral Services for Mary will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at New Scandinavia Church in Maple Grove Township with Pastor Noel Cisneros officiating. A visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2015 at Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek and one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will take place in New Scandinavia Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for a luncheon at the church following the burial.
