Nan Louise (Olson) Hetchler

May 29, 1952 — January 8, 2012

Nan Louise Hetchler, 59 of Chetek passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at her home with her loving family at her side.  Nan was born on May 29, 1952 at the Lakeview Hospital in Rice Lake, Wisconsin the daughter of Bernard and Ruth Olson of Sioux Creek. She attended school in Chetek and graduated from Chetek High School in 1970 and then completed one year at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
Nan married Ora E. Hetchler on June 2 nd , 1973 and to this union two sons were born. Nan had worked at Bob’s Grill, True Value, Kirkwoods Market, Sugar N’ Spice and Parker Hannifen. She was involved in the Vintage Voyagers Car Club and the Dovre and Chetek Lutheran Church.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She greeted everyone with open arms and an open loving heart. Her smile was as bright as the sun and her laugh was contagious. She was loved by all who had the honor to meet her. You never left her home or got off the phone without her telling everyone she loved them. She was amazing, beautiful, intelligent and most of all loving. Nan will be loved and missed by many but will never leave our hearts.
Nan leaves to celebrate her memory: devoted husband, Ora E. Hetchler, loving sons, Michael and Timothy Hetchler, granddaughter, Hailey Reed, mother, Ruth Squires, brothers, Bernard (Beth) Olson, Jeffery (Gail) Olson, Anthony (Julie) Olson, Bart (Shelly) Olson, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Olson, step-father, Dee Squires, father-in-law, Harold Hetchler Sr., brother-in-law, Harold Hetchler Jr., aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service for Nan will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Chetek Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M.  The family will be greeting visitors on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home in Chetek from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. and again at the church one hour prior to the service. The family wishes to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and lunch following the service.
Nan will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery.
