Norma Beverly (Swenson) Marot

Norma Beverly Marot, 88, of Simpsonville, SC passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Greer Memorial Hospital in Greer, SC. She was born on September 19, 1927 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin the daughter of Anfeldt and Inge (Olsen) Swenson.
Norma leaves to celebrate her memory: daughter, Mary (Bert) Baker, Novi, MI; daughter, Patti (Dan) Spencer, Simpsonville, SC, daughter-in-law, Sue Marot, Winston Salem, NC, 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jean “John” Marot, daughter, Kristi Marot, son, Rick Marot and her sister, Irene Erb.
Norma served as a missionary with Baptist Mid-Missions in France, Canada, and Miami for more than 25 years, then several years as a chaplain in a women's prison in Indianapolis before retiring in the mid 1990's.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Burnham-Our-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek. Norma’s family will greet visitors at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 A.M.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband John in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek.
