Norval C. Gardner, 81, of Chetek, WI passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He was born on December 18, 1930 in Dallas, WI, the son of Charles and Clara (Davis) Gardner. He married Dorothea Turner on October 4, 1952 at the Lutheran Church in Newport, MN.
Norval leaves to celebrate his memory, his wife, Dorothea of Chetek; 1 daughter, Barbara (Craig) Widiker of Chetek; 3 sons, Charles, James (Sandra), Kenneth (Melissa), all of Chetek; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Lolita Walsh of Stevensville, MI, Janelle Severson of Chetek, WI, Charlotte Coleman of Chetek, WI, Cheryl (Dan) Treinen of Great Falls, MT; 1 brother, Norland (Marlene) of Chetek, WI; many nieces, nephews, other loving family, and friends.
Norval was preceded in death by, his parents; 2 brothers, Gayle and Clifford; and 1 son, Robert.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Burnham Ours Funeral Home, 206 Schofield St., Chetek, WI, with Pastor Dan DeYarmen officiating. Family will be greeting visitors on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Sioux Creek, Barron County.
