Robert Alan Nieman

Robert Alan Nieman, 52 of New Auburn passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Spooner, WI. He was born in Cumberland, Wisconsin on July 25, 1961 the son of Patricia (Gat) Geer of New Auburn and Robert (Jeanette) Nieman of Cumberland.
Robert graduated from Cumberland high school in 1979 and later married Brenda M. (Hall) Nieman. Together they had four children; Ashley Jo, Michelle Lee, Brandy Nadene & Bobbi Jean Nieman. Rob was self-employed as a carpenter, built pull-barns and installed hardwood floors. He also loved to hunt, fish and being outdoors in general.
Robert is survived by his parents, four children and one step-son; Brock (Therese) Evenson of Silverbay, Minnesota and five grandchildren, fond brother of Daniel Nieman, Penny, Tony Curtis, Chad Hoover and Brad Hoover. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, one sister, Dawn Nieman and one brother, Bobby Curtis.
The visitation for Robert will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek from 4-7 P.M. Burial will take place in the spring at the Norwegian Cemetery in the township of Samson.
