Robert "Bob" John Bungartz

Robert “Bob” J. Bungartz, 92 of Bloomer passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at Our House Senior Living in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.  He was born in Bloomer Township October 9, 1927 the son of Agnes (Crank) and Frank Bungartz.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Bloomer Township.  He married Klara October 5, 1952 while serving in the Army in Germany.  During his younger years, he painted barns, drove milk truck, served in the United States Army 1951-1953 and was a member of the Chetek V.F.W. Post #10331.  He and Klara operated the family farm where they raised their four children.  Along with milking cows, they raised cattle and pigs.

Bob is survived by his children, Helene Kollwitz, Anna Saastad, Renata (Steven) Tealey, Rita (Gerry) Ellis, Steve (Anjie) Calkins, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one sister Cecilia Jenneman and other relatives and friends.  He will be forever missed by his dog Dixie.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Klara and one brother Herbert.

Funeral services for Bob will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the funeral home chapel with Father Bala Policetty officiating.  Military Honors will be performed at the funeral home after the service.  Family and friends may gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial 1:30 P.M. at St Catherine’s Cemetery in Bloomer, meet directly at the cemetery.  Please practice social distancing and masks are encouraged but not required at the funeral home.
