Rosemary Doris Grover, 89, of Chetek, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek with her loving family at her side. Rosemary Doris Hansen was born on July 30, 1926 in the City of Lake Forest, IL to Joseph Vincent and Doris Marvel (Colby) Hansen.
On June 19, 1948, she graduated from Rockford Memorial Hospital School for Nursing. She married Earl Fischer Grover Jr., on August 21, 1948. She worked as a nurse and farmed in Winnebago County, IL, until they bought a farm and moved to Chetek in 1953.
She had worked at Rockford Memorial Hospital as a Nurse, Lakeview Medical Center as a Nurses Aide, Rainbow Vacuum as a Receptionist, HandiLift, as a Medical Assistant/Driver and Team Realty as a Receptionist and also volunteered for many years with 4-H.
Rosemary leaves to celebrate her memory: her children, Earl “Butch” (Kathryn Mireau) Grover, Chetek, WI; Kathleen (Louis) Dorsey, Elk Grove Village, IL; Cynthia (Steven) Palmquist, Canton, WI; Layne (Kim Davis) Grover, Chetek, WI; Christine (Glen) Foust, Rice Lake, WI; Annette (Jerry) Oleskow, Chetek, WI; Clayton Grover, Cameron, WI and Spencer (Suzanne O’Brien) Grover, Lake Hallie, WI, 21 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, two half brothers, Joseph Hansen and Daniel Hansen, Lake Forest, IL, many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Joseph and Viola Hansen, mother, Doris (Colby) Otway, stepfather, Herbert Roll, husband, Earl F. Grover Jr., grandson, Collin F. Oleskow and daughter-in-law, Theresa “Baggy” (Hoeft) Grover.
Funeral services for Rosemary will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek. Rosemary’s family will greet visitors at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
The family wishes to invite their guests to join them for lunch and fellowship and the Pokegama Inn following the service.
Rosemary will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek at a later date.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
