Rosetta Joyce (Gunnufson) Hennig

Rosetta “Rosie” Joyce Hennig, 79 of Chetek, WI passed away Sunday March 30 th , 2014 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Rosie was born June 3, 1934 to Garfield and Gilma Gunnufson of Colfax, WI. She married Laverne E. Hennig of Fall Creek on June 25 th , 1955. She was a graduate of Colfax High School and the Eau Claire Technical College. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and all crafts. She also enjoyed bingo and going to the casino.
She is survived by her husband Laverne and her three children; Connie Shotnik of Broomfield, CO, Steven & Karen Hennig of Chetek and David & Cathy Hennig of Chetek. Also, by 5 grandchildren Tiffany Brower, Sarah Aho (Levi), Heather Byington (Tim), and Tyler and Brandon Hennig, 2 great-grandchildren Madelyn & Logan Aho, and 2 sisters Linda Lambrecht and Joan Peterson (Don).
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale Gunnufson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Chetek Lutheran Church with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI. Rosetta’s family would like to invite their guests to join them for a luncheon and fellowship following the service in the church basement.
