Sarah Ruth (Rogers) Slayton

Sarah Slayton, age 88, passed away on February 2, 2025.

Sarah was born to Loren and Theo Rogers on June 23, 1936, in Chetek, Wisconsin.

Sarah was creative and crafty. She found joy in knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful, handmade pieces that reflected her talent and patience. Sarah also enjoyed the delicate art of embroidery, which showcased her meticulous attention to detail. In addition to her crafts, Sarah had a love for baking. Her hands were always busy, creating beauty and joy in every project she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Theo Rogers, husband, Howard Slayton, step-daughter, Nancy Slayton, siblings, Dorothy Bronstad, Zoe O'Costa, and David Rogers, and Hattie T.

Sarah is survived by her children, Theo Johnson and Jean McKinney, step-children, Randy (Sandy) Slayton, Linda (Dan) Pagel, Judy (Don) Holewinski, and Donald Slayton, brother, Mike Rogers, niece, Anna T., and nephew, David Hurtes, as well as many other loving family and friends.

There are no public services planned at this time.

The Burnham-Ours Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
