Sharon Lee Elwood, 57 of Chetek passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on April 4, 1957 to Arthur and Elaine (Lachenschmidt) Steinberg in Milwaukee, WI.
On February 2, 1977, Sharon married David J. Elwood in Chetek. She enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, NASCAR Racing, watching the Packers and always looked forward to having all the grandkids together for family events.
Sharon is survived by her husband; David, children; Shannon (Joe) Matz of Roberts, WI, Shawn (Krista) Elwood of Barron, WI and Brandon Elwood of Roberts, WI, grandchildren; Jordan and Nadeen Matz, Emma, Riley and Madisyn Elwood. Fond sister of Wayne (Alita) Steinberg of Tomahawk, WI, Diane (Tom) Kosterman of Waupaca, WI, Randy Steinberg of New Auburn, WI and Sister-in-law of Dennis, Donald and Denise Elwood. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Glenn Steinberg.
A memorial gathering will be at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 3:00-6:00 P.M.
