Shelley Lyn Krans, 48, of Almena, Barron County, Wisconsin, died Sunday, 26 February 2017. Born on Wednesday, 6 March 1968, in Rice Lake, Barron County, Wisconsin, she was raised by her grandparents Jim and Myrie Krans of Chetek.
Shelley enjoyed crafts, cooking, and baking – her specialty was cream puffs! She also liked playing games, spending time with her family, and she doted on her little dogs Midgie, Snickers and Rowdy.
Shelley is survived by her former husband, Richard Gesler of Almena, very special young friends, Logan and Jordan of Danbury; her mother, Janis Schoonover of Barron; half-sisters, Janella (Shaun) Heisz and Katasha Schoonover of Barron; nephews, Justin and Carter of Barron; aunt, Wendy (Jim) Stavran of Rice Lake; cousins, B.J. Mickelson, Steven Mickelson, David Mickelson, Bryan Stavran, Lynnsey Stavran, and Bethany Stavran, other relatives and good friends.
She was preceded in death by a half-brother, Jonathan Schoonover; her grandparents, Jim and Myrie Krans; aunt, Cheryl Mickelson; uncles, Jack Krans and Billy Mickelson.
Shelley requested no funeral service be held but rather suggested people enjoy a picnic with family and friends when it gets warmer. A private family burial will be at Otterholt Cemetery, Town of Prairie Lake.
Arrangements are being handled by Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Funeral Home of Chetek.
