Theresa Kathleen (Wojcik) Shoquist

Theresa Kathleen (Wojcik) Shoquist passed away on June 9th surrounded by her family after a brave and lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 63.

Theresa was born on April 14, 1954 to Walter F Wojcik and Ellen Jane (Daly) Wojcik.  She grew up in rural Exeland, WI, graduated from Bruce High School in 1972 and lived in the Ladysmith area until relocating to Rice Lake in 1988.  She married George Shoquist in 2009.  She and George were both long time employees at Paker-Hanniffin in Chetek, WI.  Theresa retired from the company in May 2016 and after George’s retirement a few months later they relocated to Webster, WI.  She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, going to garage sales, and made sure to treat herself to Dairy Queen every Friday (every day could be Friday if you wanted it to be).

She is survived by husband, George Shoquist, Webster, WI; her children; Kathleen (Craig) Evertsen, Eau Claire, WI; Jana Wojcik (Clay Albrecht), Rice Lake, WI and Allen (Rissa) Wojcik, Spring Valley, WI; stepchildren, Sara, Shanna and Jeremy, brothers, John (Kit) Wojcik, Long Lake, MN; Jerry (Laurie) Wojcik, Ladysmith, WI; sisters, Mary (Steve Henchen) Paulson, Zimmerman, MN and Sheila (Walt) Poradish, Ladysmith, WI; grandchildren, Austin, Hailey, Christian, Shaylin, Jacksen, Nathan, Madilyn, James, Brayden, Ethan, Kaleb, Melissa, Hailey, Mercedes, Tiffany, Olivia and Allen, great grandchildren, Bentley and Abel, sisters-in-law, Deb, Pat and Paulette and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her loving parents, Walter and Ellen, her brothers, Mike, Steve and Tony, her grandson, Alexander and many other relatives who were waiting for her at the gates of Heaven.

The visitation for Theresa will be on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek beginning at 2:00 P.M until 3:00 P.M. and at 3:00 P.M. Theresa’s family will share memories.
