Warren Bruce Lister

Warren Bruce Lister, 89, of Chetek, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron, Wisconsin.  Warren was born on November 16, 1923 in Bogota, IL the son of Bruce and Luda (Bridges) Lister.

As a young man Warren served his country in the United States Army from 1942 – 1946, he was a recipient of the United States Army Bronze Medal.  After he was honorably discharged he was an Industrial Arts Teacher for many years in Momence, IL.  He lived in Chetek for 33 years and enjoyed Walleye fishing and playing golf.  He will be dearly missed.

Warren leaves to celebrate his memory: son, Bruce and his wife Laurel Lister, San Juan Capistrano, CA; grandsons: Todd Lister and Jordan Lister, San Juan Capistrano, CA and other loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen, sister, Linda and brother, Marion.

The funeral service for Warren will be held at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.  The family will be greeting visitors from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Warren will then be laid to rest alongside his wife Helen at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
