Wilma Freda Dahlke, 97, of Dallas, WI passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at her home in Dallas Township. She was born on March 31, 1915 in Barron, WI the daughter of Martin and Mary (Rubow) Wagenbach.
Wilma married Carl Dahlke on May 3, 1941 at Salem Lutheran Church in Barron, WI. She was involved in Homemakers and many 4H projects, while their son, David was a member. Wilma and Carl wintered in Zapata, TX for many years, where she was instrumental in starting the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. She was also an active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Barron.
Wilma leaves to celebrate her memory 1 son, David (Laurine) Dahlke of Dallas, WI; 1 granddaughter, Joy (Sean) Callahan of West Allis, WI; 6 step grandchildren, Randy (Natalie) Swanson, Dawn Estrada, Todd (Gina) Swanson, Faith Morneau, Robin (Stacy) Harris, Hope Rodel; 10 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary Wagenbach; husband Carl; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Memorial Service for Wilma will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Salem Lutheran Church in Barron, WI, with Pastor Ron Mueller officiating. Wilma’s family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
